Since the 1990s, Romania has been home to a burgeoning comics scene. While a good number
of Romanian artists are published in French and English translation, only a few have so far succeeded in overcoming the German
language barrier. On this occasion and in the presence of artists Ileana Surducan and Roma Gavrilă, we’ll delve deep into the comics
scene of Cluj-Napoca (North Romania). Feel free to bring your questions, ideas and friends.
A selection of Ileana’s books will be available for sale at the shop.
Presentation and Q&A in English. Admission is free.
In cooperation with the German Comics Association and “Koordinierung Ostmittel- und Südosteuropa am Museum Europäischer Kulturen – Staatliche Museen zu Berlin”.
